Check my answer please? If S= the surface \[z^2=x^2-y^2+3\] , find a vector normal to S at the point P = (1,2,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I find grad f which is \[grad f = (2x)i+(-2y)j+(-2z)k\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at point P (1,2,0) we have then 2i-4j. So the Normal is 2i-4j? Is this correct?

OpenStudy (badhi):

yes

Thanks!
