How can the polynomial 6d^4 + 9d^3 – 12d^2 be factored? a.) 3d^2(2d^2 + 3d – 4) b.) 3d^2(3d^2 + 6d – 9) c.) 3d(d3 + 3d^2 – 4) d.) 6d^2(d^2 + 3d^3 – 6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you want the common factor outside of the parenthesis which is 3d

Think of what you can pull out, all terms have a d^(2) and a 3 in common right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you multiply polynomials, you add them together. So... 3d^2(2d^2) becomes 6d^2+2, which is 6d^4
