I need help with a problem I'm unsure about. It's 3x + 4y = 8 Solving for Y 3 * 0 + 4y = 8 4y = 8 y= 2 (0,2) Solving for X 3x + 4 * 0 = 8 3x = 8 x = 8/3 How do I graph this? It's the fraction that confuses me

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Well, it's all about knowing where 8/3 is. 8/3 is just 2 + 2/3 So it's about a third of the way before you reach 3 :)

-3/4 is your slope -3/+4 down 3 units and right 4 units or +3/-4 is your slope up 3 units and left 4 units either way your line is going down because of the negative slope

is (-4,7) the intersect when solving for x + 2y = 10, and 3x + 4y = 8?
