okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay Number 6(I am not positive so I am sorry if its incorrect) (6) The central idea is: Some women, Including Santon and Anthony, would not support the admendment, becuase they thought voting rights should be extended to all Americans. This is the central idea because the ladies were arguing over the 15th admendment and wether to let the African Americans to vote and that is what caused "the great divide" 7 &8 are next!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7) The author lets the reader know the connections between the suffrage movement and the abolitionist by saying in the beginning "the women suffrage movement in the United States should be remembered for helping to secure the right to vote for women", which lets the readers now that the suffrage was a fight to help women get the right to vote. And for the word abolistionist, the story says "And one of these men was the famous abolistionist Fredrick Douglass", which lets you know he has to do with the right to vote because he is a famous and at a political meeting dealing with women's right to vote. Later in the story it states "Douglass supported the Women's rights movement which confirms he is with the suffrage group. (Hope this is right to me it is but I don't know about your teacher)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8) The connection the author is using between women being citizens without the right to vote and the women in a row boat without oars, he is saying that they are in the world but can't do anything to improve the city and the world. Like if they were in a row boat trying to change the route the row boat is on, but can't because they have nothing move the boat with. (this should make since just let me know if it doesn't)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There ya go hun! Goodluck, tell me if you understand them please~ Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they ladies are in the goverment trying to improve it but can't because they have no right to vote, like they are in a boat trying to improve the course but can't beacuse they have no oars to move the boat...make sense? If not I will try a different way

OpenStudy (anonymous):
