I'm doing an argument essay and I want to use information from a book, but it looks like the author paraphrased from someone else. How do I use this? The passage I want to use by Cleveland: Furthermore, during the 1970s, married women participated in the workforce at rates simlar to those of sing and divorced women (Reskin & Padavic, 1994)

Is there any way to locate the source that the author paraphrased? If you could find the source, you could even avoid using a tertiary source. The book it is referencing appears to be /Women and Men at Work/. http://www.amazon.com/Women-Men-Work-Sociology-Century/dp/076198710X (second edition) Maybe you can find it at your library? Other than that, I have no idea.
