@nincompoop
OpenStudy (nincompoop):
let us put Dominic and Felix's rate into ratio.
D = 150/25
F = 90/15
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I divide,yes?
OpenStudy (nincompoop):
now you have to simplify the ratios or fractions so that it will give us the number of marshmallows per second.

Okay.
OpenStudy (tkhunny):
Truthfully, all four answers are hilarious. It's most obvious in choice B.
"Average Marshmellow Eating" is a rate or a number with units.
Felix is a human.
These cannot be compared.
If you would like to ignore that utter silliness, just calculate the two rates and see what you get.
150 MM / 25 sec = 6 MM/sec
90 MM / 15 sec = 6 MM/sec
The rates ar the same.

its b. wow. thanks tk and C!
OpenStudy (tkhunny):
Don't let the question writer off the hook. Totally mock them for writing such a silly question.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thank you both.

it's a mental exercise about simplifying fractions, I believe. The rest are there to put it analytically.
