Which event produces a covalent bond?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, a covalent bond is a chemical bond between two non-metal atoms in a molecule, and they are usually liquid or gas. I'm not quite sure how they form exactly but that's what I do know about them. I hope that helps at least a little bit.

@g.gerardo93 Are these the options for this question? - A polar covalent bond is formed when nonmetals with significantly different electronegativities share electrons. -A nonpolar covalent bond is formed when nonmetals of equal electronegativity share electrons. -When nonmetals with similar electronegativites share electrons, the bond is a type of covalent bond. -Valence electrons and inner electrons can be shared to produce a covalent bond. -None of the Above
