Table salt has a solubility of 36 g of salt in 100 g of water at 40°C. If 15 g of the salt are added to 50 g of water at the same temperature, is the resulting solution saturated or unsaturated? Explain please

whoops this is a chemistry question. At any rate, it should be seen that given 36/100= 18/50, we have less that the fully saturated amount of solution. notice also that this is a 23% salt solution. This is not normally an important example of the class of w/w sol.s, but it is a fine practice solution, as opposed to using 20% HCl or 60% NaOH (both of which are required for specialty reactions in Organick Chemistry)
