How do I find the ionic/net ionic equations, and how do I predict what the product of these two are? BaCl2(aq) + ZnSO4(aq) → ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Complete ionic equation \[Ba ^{2+} Cl _{2} ^{1-} (aq) + Zn _{2} ^{1+}SO ^{2-} _{4}(aq) -> Ba ^{2+} SO_{4}^{2-}(s)+ Zn ^{1} Cl ^{1-}(aq)\] omit spectator ions to simplify equation \[Ba ^{2+}(aq) + SO ^{2-} _{4}(aq) --> Ba ^{2+} SO_{4}^{2-}(s)\] Basically all you need to know is the charges and solubility rules to find out when reaction becomes solid (s). Cations (+) always first then anions (-) second and you just swap the first cation with second anion.
