OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Can someone help me solve this problem that I made? It is -1/a^3 + 1/a^2 + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did you make it? And if you made it why can't you solve it?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Because I was told to make it. I suck at adding and subtracting fractions with variables.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you made it from scratch ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you want to solve for ?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I just need to simplify it, and yes, I just made it up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify? I wasn't able to really make it *simpler*, but I did find other ways of writing it, like (a^3+a-1)/a^3 or -(-a^3-a+1)/a^3 ... those are the alternative forms. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so (a^3+a-1)/a^3 is the answer

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Okay, I guess that works :P Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha! :) Hopefully you will start hating me a little less... @poopsiedoodle
