OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tafkas77

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi! Do you know the verb endings of -er verbs in the present tense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only know that the o changes ue

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I tried to give a tutorial on the subject on my last post http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/51361a92e4b093a1d94a2c9f

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I suggest you use that as a reference. Gotta go now!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know writing that down now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1362501393860:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you, @TuringTest ! :) O changes to "UE" only sometimes - not every time. It changes in irregular stem-changing verbs, which "poder" is. It will change, but not in the nosotros form, as you will see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is going to stay nosotros poder because verbs dont change with nosotros

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just finished writing down turningtests's tatorial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perfect! It will change in every from BUT nosotros. The "yo" form is Yo puedo; do you know the others? That chart will help you with the endings, if you aren't sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*every form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it stays as poder can you help with other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, no, buddy! The verb will change from "O" to "UE" in every form but nosotros. You still have to conjugate "poder" though! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And of course I can help with others.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Int for nosotros sorry I was asking if I was right that since my question had to do with nosotros it would stay the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops I know I meant not what the beginning saidof last post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay, I see what you mean. Yes, "poder" in the nosostros form keeps the "O" and does NOT change to "ue." Great work! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I did not make sence I will be back have to go to lunch cany stay on untill I get back just help others @tafkas77

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's no problem. And I will try my best. :) I see we are in different time zones - so, it really depends on what we both have to do. It's lunchtime for you, but it's breakfast for me! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I am back are you still on @tafkas77

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes; I am. But I'm helping someone with a question; if you don't mind waiting. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fine with me I will just post my question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fill in the blank with the correct form of the verb: ellos/contar. ellos _________

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know there will be cuent but I dont know what to do with the ar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will it be cuentar? that is what I dont understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AR verb endings in the present tense: -o (yo) -as (tú) -a (el, ella, ud.) -amos (nosotros) -an (uds. ellos, ellas) contar is a "O" to "UE" stem-changing verb. You're going to conjugate it like poder, but with ar endings. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so cuentan right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perfect. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
