Which scale factor was used to create Triangle J’K’L’? 3 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 & 1/3

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Pick a side of J'K'L' and compare it to the same side of JKL. What is the ratio of the lengths? If J'K' = 6 and JK = 3, for example, the scale factor would be 6/3 = 2. Make sure you get the ratio in the right order — the original triangle was JKL, and you are multiplying by the scale factor to get J'K'L' so your answer times the size of a feature on JKL should give you the size of the same feature on J'K'L'.
