OpenStudy (breonna):

if earth had no atmosphere, would a falling object ever reach terminal velocity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Terminal velocity is the point when an accelerating object reaches a constant speed. When an object is in free fall on earth, this happens due to the drag force of the atmosphere that pushes up on the object. If the earth had no atmosphere, the object would keep accelerating and never reach terminal velocity due to the lack of air drag.
