@hartnn Can u help me with this question

@UnkleRhaukus Can u help me with this question

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

to disprove, all you need to find is a single counter example

hartnn (hartnn):

A sentence of the form "If A then B" is true unless A is true and B is false.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where I am confused is if i chose x =1 and y=1 then x<y is false and x^2 <y^2 is also false and a false and a false yields TRUE So how or what do u actually think for solving this kind of problem ?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

you need to show when a at least one case of x < y is true x^2 < y^2 is false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But what if for some other case x<y is false and x^2<y^2 is also false ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I know in the exam how to solve it ?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the case when x<y is false does not effect the truth value of for all x for all y such than if x<y then x^2 < y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am really sorry for keeping but i dont get this stuff what if the question is "there is x for all y such that id x<y then x^2 <y^2 ?
