How are the graphs of the sine function and the cosine function similar?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you shifted the graph of sine \[\pi/2\]units to the left you would have the graph of cosine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hm.... alright. think i get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you don't sound convinced. What's the matter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, Im just processing it in the noggin.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. Well if you don't get it ask a question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, im good. Thank you for helping though!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the shape of the graphs just looks the same. when you shift it to sideways like MATTW20is saying. In fact, cos(x-pi/2) = sin(x)
