23,780 lb = t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10.786 t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 47,560,000 B. C. D. 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is closest right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they said it was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my answer is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are wrong for sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 11.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2000 = x/23780 (1 to to 2000 lbs = x tons to 23780 lbs) now cross multiply... (2000)(x) = (1)(23780) 2000x = 23780 x = 23780/2000 x = 11.89

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6a=5/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that another problem ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide both sides by 6 to get a by itself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to do that or do you need some help ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. 5/13 b. 30/7 c.5/42 d.11/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6a = 5/7 (divide both sides by 6) 6a/6 = (5/7)/6 a = (5/7)/6 a = 5/7 x 1/6 a = 5/42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when dividing fractions, you " flip " what you are dividing by and multiply

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I flipped the 6, which is 6/1, and made it 1/6 and multiplied. Do you understand ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when dividing fractions, you flip what you are dividing by, and then multiply. For example, 1/4 divided by 5/6. You would " flip " the 5/6 making it 6/5, and then multiply. Your problem would now read 1/4 x 6/5 = 6/20. Look at this one..... 2/3 divided by 7.......don't forget 7 is also 7/1. So you " flip " what you are dividing by, then multiply. Your problem is now 2/3 x 1/7 = 2/21. Do you understand about dividing fractions now ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
