2/3 of class 5A are boys. To make the number of boys and girls equal , 4 boys from 5A go to class 5B and 4 girls come from class 5B to 5A. Now one of the students in class 5A are boys. How many students are in class 5A ?

OpenStudy (phi):

can you fix this Now one of the students in class 5A are boys.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what the question says....I don't understand it ?

OpenStudy (phi):

The sentence is not grammatical, which makes me wonder if they left something out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought they were supposed to be equal....then how come there is only one boy in 5A ?

OpenStudy (phi):

exactly, I guess they mean there is 1 more boy than girl after all the moving in 5A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that mean there is only 1 girl in 5B ?
