MgCl2 will have a higher b.p. Boiling pt. depends upon the strength of intermolecular forces of attraction or the vanderwaal's forces of attraction. Vanderwaal forces of attraction increases as the molecular mass increases.Since MgCl2 has a larger mol. mass, it has stronger vanderwaal forces of attraction. Thus higher temp. will be reqd to overcome these forces of attraction and it will have a higher b.p.
okie got it thank you !
