What foods were served in Hong Kong in/soon after 1842?
I looked up your question in Google so I could read about it and explain it to you better, and I found someone who asked the same question and the person answering the question said.... More western cuisines and grand European-style restaurants were opened to accommodate the influx of foreigners as Hong Kong was forcefully opened as a major trading port to the west, and ceded to the British Empire after the Chinese lost the Opium War. Other than that traditional Chinese cuisine was, and is still popular, with Cantonese cuisine (one of the Eight Culinary Traditions of Chinese cuisine) in the lead. If you want specific menu orders, nobody can tell you, you'll have better chances looking in a restaurant than here. If you need or want to view this question for your self than to this site http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130314175107AAdpxQC Also I think this might would help you with this topic, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130314175107AAdpxQC Hope I helped! :D
Also just letting you know that, I hope you are not trying to get answers for a test or a quiz or anything like that, You do realize that that would not be the right thing to do right? I sure hope so, You need to improve with trying to ask people to explain the question you have instead of just giving you the answers than you learn absolutely noting once so ever. =} Thanks! :D -Jade
