I know :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have any idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol guys...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think it's the presence of cell walls. The question is asking us for a "process." In other words, something that the plant actually DOES. And simply having cell walls isn't a process. Cell walls are important though, sure. They help plants grow tall.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im pretty sure its cell walls or the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok nvm not cell walls

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get it. We can think of this: There are two kinds of plants: 1. Land plants 2. Aquatic (water) plants. Plants that live in the water, they will never have trouble getting water, right? Because they LIVE in water. Water is all around them. But LAND plants don't live in the water. They get water from the ground. Because of that, wouldn't it be important for them to know how to conserve (save) water? Think about the trees in your backyard. Their leaves fall off in the winter. Why? Because it's to save water, so that they don't die. And think about a cactus, that lives in the desert. Its leaves look like pointy needles. Why? Because having smaller leaves means that it will lose less water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so conservation of water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. That's what I'm leaning on. You read all that, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup! very well explained also!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

think u can help with one more

If you have another question, what you can do is make a separate post. I'll come by and take a look. I'll help you if I think I can. If I can't, then your question will be there for someone else to come along and help. Okay?
