How does the circulatory system work? PLEASE HELP!!

OpenStudy (koikkara):

In its most basic form, the circulatory system is a simple loop which starts, and ends, at the heart. It is also a closed system in the sense that blood does not enter or leave the system during its journey from the heart, to the body, and back again. In such a system, a continuous flow of the same liquid can be pumped through the loop again and again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by circulating blood.. duh.. but seriously.. 1. de-oxygenated blood is received by the left atrium of the heart through posterior vena cava 2. goes to the left ventricles, and is pumped to the lungs by pulmonary areteries 3. oxygenated blood from lungs is received by the right atrium and to rigjt ventricles 4. the right ventricles supply this oxegenated blood to the rest of the body via aorta - 4 semilunar vales 5. the aorta splits to two regions head and the rest.. 6. ducts carrying oxygenated blood to the rest of the body are called "arteries" 7. arteries keep branching into smaller ducts called arterioles and then to cappilaries 8. the deoxygenated blood is collected and carried by smaller and thinner ducts with valves called as veinuoles and veins. and cycle repeats

OpenStudy (koikkara):

SEE the pic......too.....
