(6a-10) is this still possible to factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take out a factor of 2 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(3a-5) is the result.

i had a question it was 36a^-100a^2 i did a^2(36a^-100) and i got a^2(6a+10)(6a-10) so if i take out 2 it will be a^2(6a+10) 2(3a-5) ????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2(36a-100) = 4a^2(9a-25)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i wrote i wrong 36a^4 - 100a^2 i take out a^2(36a^2-100) and that equals a^2(6a+10)(6a-10) right ??

Oh right yeah that is correct. Then you can take a factor of 2 from both of the parts inside the brackets to get a factor of 4 you take out. (a^2)2(3a+5)2(3a-5) = 4a^2(3a+5)(3a-5)

thank you so much!!
