Two times a first number decreased by a second number is 4. The first number increased by twice the second number is 27. Find the numbers here is what i have so far: 2x-x=4 ..is that set up wrong? because then it would be 0=2 which wouldn't be a true answer. and for the second number I am having an even harder time. help please

so i got x=7 for the first number

then i think i plug the answer i got for x back into the equation to get the other number, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which i think is 10.
