I can help. Question: Do you know what a stem changing verb is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what is stem-changen, but I can tell you the phrase in the middle. (The stem changeers) en la seccion actual son similares a los d la seccion previa, excepto estos (stem-change "o" to "oe")

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stem changing verbs are verbs whose MIDDLE parts change, when we conjugate them. For example, PODER (to be able) is a stem-changing verb. ~~~~~~~~~~ Here are all the different forms of PODER: (Yo) PUEDO (Tú) PUEDES (Él/Ella/Usted) PUEDE (Nosotros) PODEMOS (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) PUEDEN ~~~~~~~~~~~~ You see how when we conjugate PODER, the middle letter O changes into a UE ? That's why it's called a stem-changing verb. Because the middle part, the stem, changes. The O changes into a UE. (The only exception is the NOSOTROS form. You see, the stem doesn't change, in that form.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here's a BIG FACT: In stem changing verbs, the (O) NEVER changes into an (OE). It ALWAYS changes into a (UE).
