The formula for linearization L(x) is: L(x) = f(a) + f'(a)(x-a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, I know that formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know how to apply the numbers to the formula :/

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\large \color{royalblue}{a=-8}\]\[\large \color{orangered}{f(-8)=\sqrt[3]{-8}}\] \[\large L(x)=\color{orangered}{f(a)}+f'(a)(x-\color{royalblue}{a})\] Hmm it seems pretty straight forward. Plug in the missing pieces. You'll just need to find f'(a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What number I should pulg for f'(x)?
