basic diff eq. question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[magnetic flux= ((\mu*I*w)/2\pi)* \ln (1+L/x)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so i am asked for the induced emf if the current changes. where induced emf= \[d(flux)/dt \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mu, x, w, L are all constants. I is the only thing that changes with time. How would I write the expression above with I changing linearly with time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[d(flux)/dt=d(flux)/dI *dI/dt\] <---- is this heading in the right direction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe that is the chain rule above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup, I got it. for the sake of closure...... use above expression---> d/dI (expression) *dI/dt= emf
