Physics 23 Online
OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Please help me find the following limit...

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow \infty}(\frac{ x+3 }{ x+1 })^{x}\]

hartnn (hartnn):

There are several ways to do it ... do you know the formula : \(\large \lim \limits_{x\rightarrow 0} (1+x)^{1/x}=e\)

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

No, I've never seen that formula.

hartnn (hartnn):

and this is not a math section, its physics section.... so, now we are gonna use it. put x=1/y in that limit, as x->infinity, y->0

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Oh woops, meant to post in math.

hartnn (hartnn):

no problem...
