lim (x^3 − 2x + 7/3x^2 − 3) x→0

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

well....try just plugging in x = 0 first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i need to factor it?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

not this particular one....with limits the best thing to do first....is just to plug in the number you are trying to approach.... so plug in 0 for all your x's and see what you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got -7/3

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

That's your limit....as x approachs 0....y approaches -7/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for the help

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

and you can check this too if you have a graphing calculator......plug in this equation....and when you graph it...look at where x = 0....and see what y looks like it is
