What are the x-intercept(s) of the graph of the equation y − x2 = −4x − 5? (1, 0) and (−5, 0) (1, 5) (−1, 0) and (−5, 0) (−1, 0) and (5, 0)

at what point does the graph touch or go through the x-axis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its C.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well rewrite the equation y =x^2 - 4x - 5 y intercept let x = 0 so y = -5 x intercepts let y = 0 you need to solve to find the x intercepts. 0 = x^2 -4x -5 or 0 = (x -5)(x + 1)
