what is the last stage of interphase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know every thing about the different stages of mitosis?, so i know how to go about explaining it

i got the answer but do you know the difference between plant and animal telophase/cytokinesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember "spindle fibres" in plants and "asters" in animal cell division? centrioles are present only in animal cells and produce the asters that attach to chromosomes, contract and pull em apart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also, in plant cells, the cytokinesis starts from center by "cell plate formation" in animal cells, it is by ce;; constriction from outside to indise.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u know the last stage is Growth 2 in animal cells, a contractile ring is formed equatorially (at cell center and cortex) at the begining of cytokinesis which is just at the onset of the seperation of sister chromatids in anaphase while in plant cell a cell plate is formed at the centre of the cell

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Last phase of interphase is the G2 Phase. You break down cell division into: Interphase: -G1 Phase -S Phase -G2 Phase Mitotic Phase: -Prophase -Metaphase -Anaphase -Telophase Cytokinesis
