In a hospital, several patients became infected with a bacterium after surgery. The patients are not responding to antibiotics. By what type of disease are these patients likely infected, and why is it such a risk?
Most likely a bacterial infection. Probably MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) It's such a risk because it spreads easily in hospitals and sick patients are very sensitive. On top of that it's hard to kill those bacteria because they're resistent to many antibiotics.
@thomaster thank you so much
recently there have been a few total resistant strains of E.coli and another one that I cant think of at the moment, which is a bit more scary, but I would go with MRSA as well--although the question is vague enough you could probably pick anything you wanted and be correct.
