The value of acceleration due to gravity (g) on a point 10,000 kilometers above sea level is about 1.49 meters/second^2. How much will an object, which weighs 98 newtons on the surface of Earth, weigh on this point? The value of acceleration due to gravity on Earth is 9.8 meters/second^2. a) 0.152 newtons b) 7.35 newtons c) 14.9 newtons d) 146.02 newtons

Where are you stuck at?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What equation do i use or how do i solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well - I for one won't just tell you the answer, sry... The question is about some relationship of the weight and the accelaration upon an object at a given height. Do you know any equation/physical law that involves those?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no that is what i need help with. a equation to help me figure this out.

How about you look through your lecture notes of the past week or the week before? I'm sure, you'll find it... Hint: As you may already have guessed, it's called "Newton's (second) Law"
