check out my attachment in the comment box please! is it A.? Which polynomial represents the sum below?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

It is not A. You only add like terms. Like means the same power.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its c!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Or to be clearer (mathemeatically proper) you only combined like terms. So how manay total things to the 9th do you have? Then how many total to the 6th? Then first power. And last the ones without an x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x9 + 3x6 + 19x + 3

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

You can rewrite that as one long equation... \[[3x^6+7x+3]+[5x^9+12x]\ That ehlp you see why A and C are wrong?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Hmmm... It dropped me out of equation mode. LOL. \[[3x^6+7x+3]+[5x^9+12x]\]

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Ah, yes, you typed out B in long form, which is correct!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

I missed it at first with the powers not using ^ or the equation editor. Sorry bout that.
