Use complete sentences to explain how you would use graphing technology to find the solutions of 0 = 2x2 - 3x + 0.5. What do the solutions of 0 = 2x2 - 3x + 0.5 represent on the graph of the equation? (4 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is the graph the zeros are where it crosses the \(x\) axis http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=0+%3D+2x2+-+3x+%2B+0.5

I'm still not sure

Oh boy I get 4 points for solving this?

The solutions to this parabolic function correspond to the places where the graph of this function crosses the x-axis.

deja vu that certain feeling you get when you think you've been there before

2x^2-3x+1/2 = 0 This equation will cross the x-axis at x=(3+sqrt(5))/4, and x=(3-sqrt(5))/4 So, I guess the answer is: You can graph this equation on a Cartesian coordinate plane and see where is crosses the x-axis (should be at the two values indicated). Those two values are solutions to the equation.
