Al 2 help ?
\[T=2\pi \sqrt{1/32}\]
What are the instructions?
I have to replace T with these numbers 8 sec 6 sec 5 sec 6 sec 7 sec
without the "sec"
@Directrix
Are we supposed to get an exact answer or an aproximation?
It doesnt matter
If that is the case, then to what number does [2*π*√(1/32)] approximate? For each of the four problems, you can set that approximation equal to each of the 4 given values of T.
What did you get? I have my approximation ready to reveal. In exact terms that product is the following: pi/[2√2]. But, we're doing approximations.
Crank this out in your calculator: [2*π*√(1/32)]
im so lost;/
In the following equation l stands for the length of the string in feet. Convert your 5 string lengths into feet by dividing by 12 (12 inches = 1 foot). Then, substitute each of these values into the given equation and solve for T (time for one period). Use 3.14 for π. Record these new measurements in the chart below. the number one above 32 is an "I"
@Directrix
I know you can approximate this: [2*π*√(1/32)] 2* 3.14159 * .17678 = ? @miah Multiply those numbers. You can use the calculator on your neck.
If all else fails, go to Google.com and enter "2* 3.14159 * .17678=" in the search box.
but its an "L" not a 1
So, why are you just now saying that?
I said it in the the message up there
