OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the answer is B is it the right answer

OpenStudy (phi):

do you know which way they rotate ? is it clockwise or counterclockwise ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got a lot of wrong question in this dilation assignment

OpenStudy (phi):

if by R(90) they mean rotate clockwise (( would think it mean counter clockwise..) then it would rotate AB to a position 1 unit from XY. Then a translation 1 step to the left will make them line up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i too think the rotation is clockwise

OpenStudy (phi):

one way to picture a rotation is use a compass. put one leg on the center point (the origin, labeled P in this case), and the other leg on the point you are rotating. draw a circle. 90 degrees will be 1/4 of the circle. do that for the other end of the AB line. Of course I would do this "mentally", but doing it with an actual compass might help you visualize it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if according to this C is the correct option

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, it is C. First you do the rotation ... 90 degrees clockwise... You should try to figure out what line AB ends up after the rotation. Can you do that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep i got it through the explaination

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is another question http://prntscr.com/z5vkm * explanation

OpenStudy (phi):

They want you to rotate G 240 degrees each letter is 30 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so P

OpenStudy (phi):

yes (again assuming we rotate clockwise)

OpenStudy (phi):
