If Phoenix, Arizona, experiences a cool, wet day in June (when the weather is usually hot and dry), does that mean the region’s climate is changing?
To answer this question, we have to know the difference between CLIMATE and WEATHER. ~~~~~~~ The CLIMATE is like the AVERAGE conditions, in an area. In Arizona, the CLIMATE is usually hot and dry. That means that it is NORMALLY hot and dry. But not always! The climate does not change. Because in order to change the climate, there would have to be some kind of BIG change, on earth. Like the Ice Age, when everything became frozen. You know? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ On the other hand, the WEATHER can change. It does change. Like one day, we could have sunny weather. The next day, we could have rainy weather. The weather changes. But the climate doesn't. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If Phoenix, Arizona has a cool and wet day, then it doesn't mean that the climate has changed. It means that the WEATHER has changed. Because it's just having ONE cool and wet day, you know? It's not like Arizona is gonna be cool and wet, EVERYDAY.
yeah i agree.
