I have never understood that " Please explain in complete sentences " thing. Math is language. the terms and expressions are the words, and the equations are the sentences. When I give the procedure or equations to a particular problem , I AM giving the "complete sentences " So I would assume that if someone is given a particular problem, it means they can speak its language. Asking to actually type the words is certainly asking too much, especially when you take into account that this service is free. But then again, that's just my opinion.
I don't see whats wrongs with it o.o
As I said, that's my opinion. Feel free to have yours.
lol
I don't get the question. Can you explain this to me using complete sentences?
Lol abb0t!
haha @abb0t But yeah @Luis_Rivera I agree with your opinion.
When you see this, it's typically because the user copied + pasted an essay question directly into the post. They're too lazy to paraphrase or tell why they're confused. Seriously though, when I see "question worth 3 points" I lose hope. Yet they still complain about how "hard" math is because of their teacher. OS is a great way to learn step-by-step, but only if you're willing to try your best and learn.
Ikr @jazy they don't even take out the "1 point" and stuff like that. Or they sometimes leave the "Show all work for full credit". Inside me I am like well I aint getting no full credit, its not my work. Hhaha.
Well, math is a language - but sometimes for some it is like you speak French and I am speaking English. And they need the explanation in English....So they may need details.
Well that's what the teachers and tutors are for. I'm not trying to impose a policy here, I'm just sharing my personal philosophy, and the extent of my involvement.
It is because, they want to use their "cute and paste" skills to complete their online work.
@precal Yeah I know, they usually and almost always do that.
that is why I will answer with brief and concise words/terminology
