]Identify the correct x intercept and y intercept of the equation x + 7y = -21. x intercept = (3, 0); y intercept = (0, 21) x intercept = (-3, 0); y intercept = (0, -21) x intercept = (21, 0); y intercept = (0, 3) x intercept = (-21, 0); y intercept = (0, -3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for y first so put it in y=mx+b form b is the y-int and to find x int set y=0 and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sohow do i dothat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to solve for y subtract x on both sides and then divide both sides by 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what u do is convert it into a mx+b equation which will be as follows;- \[y=\frac{ -1 }{ 7 }x-3\] and then u make y=0 to find the x intercept and x=0 to find the y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that means that your x intercept according to me should be (-21,0) and the y intercept should be (-3,0)

thankz
