OpenStudy (zale101):

\[\frac{ (x-h)^2 }{(a)^2}-\frac{ (y-v)^2 }{(b)^2}=1\]

OpenStudy (zale101):

The equation i did above was for the for a horizontal hyperbola. The vertical hyperbola is \[\frac{ (y-v)^2 }{ (a)^2 }-\frac{ (x-h)^2 }{ (b)^2 }\]
