What is the vertex of the graph? (1 point) (2, 2) (1, 3) (3, 1) (0, 2)
wheres the graph?
graph needed
srry trying to figure out how to post it im new at this site
That's just a login screen. We need a graph.
damn srry
could you take a pic save it a png and post it up online via link
Or give us the formula and we'll graph it ourslves... :-)
yup even better!
it doesn't give the formula just a graph, i think i can get it on here thank you for being so patient with me lol
yup still waiting
have you put it up yet?
did it lol
Do you know where the vertex is on that graph? IOW, can you point to it?
um im not sure how to find the vertex but i think i might remember, its embarrassing i never got the hang of graphing.. i think its 2?
the vertex is the highest or the lowest point of the graph
now that you know this can you locate the point where the graph is at its highest or lowest point
so is it 3?
you have to give both x and y value basically in the (x,y) form
The vertex of a parabola is the extreme point on the curve. In this case, it's top dead center. That point is located on the graph, and can be described as a set of (x,y) coordinates.
from the options you have given what is the vertex of the graph?
A graph has a vertical axis called the Y axis, and a horizontal line called the X axis. These lines cross at a point called the "origin", and this point is (0,0).
0,2?
nooo okay to find the vertex you have to look at where the parabola meets on x & y coordinate.
2,2
No. Look at the point at the top of the parabola. Where is it located? If that point is to the right of the Y axis, then it has a +X value. If that point is to the left of the Y axis, then it has a -X value.
i apologize this is super embarrassing
wait its 1,3
The way to find a vertex is to look at the point where it meets whether on a parabola or a intersection. In this case the part where it has the curve. Look at where the parabola meets when it is joined from the right and from the left the tip basically
YAYYY!! you got it
thank you guys soo much! ^^ lol
Yes, it's 1 over and 3 up, so the location is (1,3).
lol all good...just remember how to find the vertex and what it is!
You're welcome! :-)
