Why is the colour of sky is blue if we use Rayleigh's scattering law, then the wavelength of violet colour is the shortest and therefore we should see the sky violet not blue?

Because our eyes work better at frequencies near the middle of the spectrum (yellow & green). Since the color blue is closer to yellow or green than purple is, the sky we see appears blue.
