If someone could help me with this I would really appreciate it.... The employees at a General Motors assembly plant are polled as they leave work. Each is asked, “What brand of automobile are you riding home in?” The random variable to be reported is the number of each brand mentioned. Is x a binomial random variable? Justify your answer I put this For x to be a binominal random variable, the rules of binomial distribution have to be applied. In knowing that this problem has to be based on probability. I just need to know if I am on the right track and if someone can explain it

OpenStudy (kropot72):

A variable which has a binomial distribution has the following properties: There is a fixed number of trials. Each trial is independent of the others. Each trial has a constant probability of success. There are only two possible outcomes, usually referred to as 'success' and 'failure'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x cannot be a binomial variable since the number of value it can hold is more than two (The brand people use might be x1, x2, x3, x4...xn)
