if 4NO2 + 6H2O -> 7O2 + 4NH3, THEN HOW MANY LITERS OF O2 AT STP ARE PRODUCED WHEN 3.2 X 10^23 MOLECULES REACT?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

molecules of no2 react?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are 22.4 L in one mole at STP.... 6.02 X 10^23 molecules is equal to one mole... so the 3.2 X 10^23 / 6.02 X 10^23 = moles of NO2 MOLES OF NO2 X the coff. of O2 (7) all of that divided by coff. of NO2.... will equal the Moles of O2.... so there are about 0.93 Moles of O2... you can do the rest right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! uh no im lost. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lost at what part?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what i do next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply .93 by 22.4L .... that will give you liters of oxygen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK,and thats the volume?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you soo much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem... you should get 20.832 L of oxygen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep thats what i got. my answer needs to be two sig nif fig so it was 21 L thanks for the help
