True. This is referred to as "Mass Balance". Matter is conserved in all reactions. Matter has mass, and mass is a form of energy. Due to the Law of Conservation of Energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred.
True. Balanced chemical equations show that the no. of moles/ molecules (molecules are made up of atoms) per element remains the same before and after the reaction, the only change is the rearrangement of elements.
