Can anyone please help? http://prntscr.com/11zddy

OpenStudy (phi):

multiply the first fraction by (1-sin \(\theta\))/ (1-sin \(\theta\)) multiply the 2nd fraction by (1+sin \(\theta\))/ (1+sin \(\theta\)) can you do that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

phi fraction remains the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its B

OpenStudy (phi):

For the first fraction, if you multiply out \[ \frac{1}{1+sin\theta}\cdot \frac{1-sin\theta}{1-sin\theta} \] what do you get ? the top is just 1- sin θ what do you get for the bottom?

OpenStudy (phi):

It is good to remember that (a+b)(a-b) is a^2 - b^2 in this case a is 1 and b is sinθ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2

OpenStudy (phi):

the bottom is not 2.
