what is the difference between an enthalpy driven reaction and entropy driven reaction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Enthalpy driven: reaction that tries to reach a lower thermal state. IE, one whose products have a lower enthalpy than its reactants. Entropy driven: reaction whose products are more "free" (ex, solids to gases) have more generally have more volume.
