The plasma membrane allows some molecular species to enter and excludes others. It is therefore referred to as a(n) _____ membrane. permeable semipermeable cell osmosis
Lets do as before. make a good guess.
Never mind its easier when someone else asks me but im pretty sure its semipermeable because it still lets some in.... I think
well I being to wonder why you ask questions... you are right ones again. :) Semi from Latin meaning half or in this case "some" so you are right.
Lol thanks but I do need help sometimes :)
BUT then I ask you a extra question, just to see if you can figure this out: Sence it is only semipermeable and not fully permeable for all molecules some most be left out... can you guess what kind of molecules that can pass and what kind that can't?
You can use the words polar and non-polar in your answer.
Ummm that I really don't know lol
Hehe, well as you said in your first question there is a polar and non-polar end of a membrane-lipid :) The non-polar end of the membrane is dominant (way larger), so molecules that are non-polar is having more easy to pass the membrane than polar molecules. :)
Oh I see wow thanks :)
More than welcome.
so what's the answer I am confused ???
same here?..
The answer is a semipermeable membrane. the world semipermeable means that only some molecules can pass the membrane.
