Use intermediate value theorem to show that the polynomial function has a zero in the given interval. f(x)=9x^4-3x^2+5x-1; [-3,0] f(-3)= value of 0=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find \(f(-3)\) and \(f(0)\) one will be positive, the other negative then since 0 is between the two values, the function must be zero in that interval

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how would I find f(-3)? @satellite73

OpenStudy (amistre64):

umm, plug in -3 everywhere you see an x in the rule .... and then perform the math
