OpenStudy (tabithax3):

I need help simplifying using the Binomial Theorem (equation on post)

OpenStudy (tabithax3):

\[\frac{ (x+h)^{3}-x ^{3} }{ h }\]

OpenStudy (raden):

that's looks like defined of the derivative :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

binomial theroem is something you'll wanna look up and learn, even though you'll never really use it in real situations past 3rd order; it's simple enough though. States than (x+h)^3 = x^3 + 3(x^2)*h + 3x*(h^2) + h^3 right away the answer can be seen as 3x^2 + 3xh + h^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

binomial thermo is difficult use binomial series

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3x ^{2}+3xh+h ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (tabithax3):

@Euler271 thank you for the help
